Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 03/26/2002

Number: 1

We have been anxiously awaiting the hummers arrival. Our spring weather has been fluctuating quite a bit, spring like I guess. One day we would have 85 degrees and during the night a norther would blow in and the tempurature would drop to freezing with in 48 hours. Just this week the flowers are blooming strongly and the night time tempuratures are consistently in the 50's.

We have had our feeder up for several weeks. When I was out side watering the plants, I saw a hummer zip across the street and a few minutes later saw a male hummingbird at my feeder. Yeh! They finnaly here.
