Three adults flew slowly over a 5 acre field continuously for about 10 minutes before moving out of sight. The site is in southwest Jackson; a group of us were out checking on the status of milkweed in the field when the monarchs appeared. None were observed to stop for oviposition and we found no milkweeds had emerged in this field.
