Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 03/31/2002

Number: 1

Saw today about 1:30pm six monarchs flying about in yards and on my street in Hurst, Tx. Then on the way over to Fort Worth, saw six or seven flying on and/or across Freeway 121. All of them are big and beautiful and in really good shape. None of them had seemingly dedicated flight north.. they were looking, I suppose, for nectar.

Today was the last day for the Butterfly exhibit at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. They had 15,000 tropical butterflies flying about in the tropical forest conservatory. It was really a treat!
