Monarchs reported north and west of Cuero in DeWitt County today. Two eighth graders reported seeing at least 20 monarchs over fields of wildflowers during the warm afternoon. A seventh grader brought in three live monarchs that he netted out of about a dozen he saw in the afternoon, again "hunting low" over wildflowers, two females, one male. One female was very faded with many missing scales, other was faded some missing scales, male was faded with some missing scales and tattered (missing tip of left front wing).
