All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 04/05/2002

Yippee! My faithful phoebes are back! This morning at 6:30 I awoke to their familiar call at my bedroom window. The phoebes have nested on my front or back porch every year since I moved in eight years ago. They are a welcome sign of spring. As well, I visited with my uncle who lives in the Murray Hills just north of Brighton Ontario (home of Presquile Provincial Park) and he reported he had heard phoebes at his place on April 3...so it took two days for the phoebes to move 45 km north!
