Yesterday I complete a volunteer Red-necked Grebe survey of the Dyers Bay/Cabot Head area with the following results:

36 Red-necked Grebes

2 Common Loons


This area is designated the Cabot Head Important Bird Area (IBA) due to large numbers of Red-necked Grebes that stage here during migration.
