All Other Signs of Spring

We finally saw wood frog eggs on April 1 after some heavy rains. Two weeks before that the temporary ponds that are usually the places where wood frogs lay their eggs were completely dry. The rainwater left a big puddle where the pond usually is. That was just enough for the wood frogs! They laid baseball size masses of eggs (up to 1000 eggs in a mass).
