Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/09/2002

Number: 1

PS 114 second graders were quite excited as they pulled up to Gateway Environmental Study Center and found that their tulips had begun to bloom. Ranger Rita Mullally dug up a tulip so they could look more closely at the structure of the plant. They were also surprised to see the pussy willows that they had been observing had completely changed their appearance since their last trip. Ranger Rita read them a book about Georgia O'Keefe and they painted some wonderful tulip paintings.
