Mating flight of either the Common snipe or the American Woodcock was heard this morning over the Hobby farm in pre dawn light. The mating sound is made as the bird dips and climb during its' flight and as the air rushes through its' wings. I could never decide if was a Snipe or a Woodcock making the noise. No matter, it's SPRING!
