All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 04/17/2002

Number: 1

Blackbirds of all kinds are congregating at my feeding stations. With the grackles , brewer's and red-wings are a good number of rusty blackbirds mostly females .
Today I also watched a loggerhead shrike for nearly 2 and a half hours. He spent much of that time impaling minnows in trees.
He got the minnows from a batch that my neighbour had thrown on the ice.

Pussy willows are also popping out
