With the record warm temperatures we have had over the past few days - up into the mid 80's F - flowering shrubs have broken bud and are starting to bloom.
Toronto is close to the western edge of Carolinean Canada, so some southern tree and shrub species can survive the winter here. So flowering magnolias and forsythia have broken into bloom.
