Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/20/2002

Number: 1

A moderately faded monarch flew quickly through the backyard around 10:30am. The monarch was flying from west to east about 4 feet up. Skies were mostly sunny with temperatures in the upper 70's and west winds around 10mph. I looked for more this afternoon, but no additional sightings. Yesterday I found 4 common milkweed plants in the field. Plant heights ranged from 2" -4". Sure was good to see a monarch again!
