Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/16/2002

Number: 1

Friday, April 12, 2002 was the last day of school prior to Spring vacation and I took the class out to do an observation of not only the tulips but also of other signs of Spring. Many of the tulips had buds but were very early in this stage as were many of the trees and flowering shrubs. With some EXTREMELY warm/hot temperatures this week, I was observing Spring literally popping out in my own yard, so I went to school to see about the tulips at school. By Thursday, April 18, 90% of the tulips were in FULL BLOOM! Unfortunately, due to vacation, the children missed seeing this phenomenonal display which just proves how unpredictable nature can be. Hopefully, by the time we all return to school, there will be a few 'late bloomers' for the children to observe and appreciate!
