School vacation began after classes on April 12th. We checked the tulips in the morning. They were almost ready to open. But not quite. On Saturday morning, April 13th, Olivia and Elena went to school to see if the flowers had bloomed. They found four of them open! They went home and sent an email to Mrs. Murphy. On Sunday morning, Mrs. Murphy went over to school with her digital camera. Guess what! All the flowers were in bloom. She was so disappointed that the children were not there to see them. But, she took lots of pictures. When school started again on April 22nd, there were still lots of beautiful red tulips in our garden.
