Hi. I am in Arlington Heights Illinois. I have not seen any monarchs yet. We had very warm weather last week (80-85 degrees) and I did notice that some of my milkweed plants are up about 2 inches. In the area where the other plants usually grow, I did not find any signs of milkweed. Hope that helps.
