I had the opportunity to chat with one of the top botanists in OK today, and he told me of observing an apparently gravid female Monarch on Monday, Apr. 15 in mid-town Tulsa. He noted that she appeared to be searching for some milkweed. She was very worn looking. He has not noticed any if the various milkweeds native to our area up yet, but has not been especially on the lookout.
