I look forward to seeing the first barn swallows each year. I saw my first of the season on March 11, 2002. I have watched them for the last 10 years. They usually arrve between March 11th and 15th each year in Sherman.Up until this year I lived on a ranch where I had 8 nests on my porch. What a joy to watch! One year a nest got made in my chimney.The babies would sometimes slip into my fireplace and we would open it get them out and put them back in th nest.
