I was with my daughter and her Girl Scout troop on the levee about 2 miles from Yancopin on a camping trip. We all noticed the Monarch about the same time, it was laying on the ground not moving. We all gathered around to get a closer,when it moved, we were all very relieved. unfortunately, the butterfly was dying and dead by morning.
