Date: 04/22/2002

Number: 1

six mile lake
the leaves on the trees have been coming out for a week now but today they are starting to open up. today was also the first day to see the trilliums. the hepatica have been up for about five days but only in small numbers. there are more coming out today. the ferns are just breaking through the ground today. it has turned cold (-4c at night)after the hot weather( record highs of +30c) last week which has delayed some of the leafing out.
