We have experienced the arrival of the Ruby Throated Humming Birds for the past 5 years + on almost the exact same date of April 17, each year. Give or take a day or two due to the weather or lack of notice, this has been an exciting thing to look forward to each year for us.

We have feeders for them, and they come to our home each year looking for the feeders, as if expecting their welcome home dinner to be waiting for them.

We have as yet been able to find their nests, but are sure they are in the immediate vicinty, as the population explodes at the right time for the offspring to join their parents in the feeding frenzy!

We are located in Coffeyville, Kansas, which is in the extreme Southwest corner of Kansas, only a mile from Oklahoma and about 75 miles from Missouri.
