Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

as I was photographing blue birds and a fox den, but -this past
Saturday (May 4), I observed three Monarchs, all appeared to be fresh and very good color
in the Marsh Habitat Area (South Central Topeka) adjacent to the Shunga Trail and Creek.
Milkweed shoots in this area are just a few inches above the surface as most of the
fields were burned earlier.
