9:30 am. Female observed feeding on flowering maple in a hanging
pot. First sighting last year ocurred on May 4. No jewelweed extant at this time. Flowers blooming in the garden include blue salvia, Mexican cigar plant, geranium. and columbine. Site
is fifty yards south of Little Difficult Run adjoining the heavily wooded Stream Valley Park.
