We have turned our entire campus into an outdoor habitat for the Monarch Butterfly. We are waiting for the live milkweed plants to arrive.
>
>We plan to:
>1. grow our own Monarchs in the fall.
>2. tag them
>3. include the community in the watch for the butterflies
>4. every student in the school and the wilmington island community will be asked to participate in this activity.
>We simply want to be a part of the preservation of the Monarch Butterfly and to create a habitat for them. The students will be using the habitats as a support system for curriculum areas across the board.
