Our Program involves Elementary Teachers as well as school children from Grades K-8. The Lourdes Life Lab is an hands-on learning space devoted to promoting understanding and appreciation for Natural and Environmental Science. The Life Lab complex borders a natural woodland and ravine. Experiential learning occurs both indoors and out with bird feeding stations,an interactive Lab aviary,an observation garden with a wildlife accessible water feature. The garden incorporates both host and nectaring plants, attracting butterflies as well as hummingbirds. We became aware of Journey North recently and wanted to share your impressive approach to "real science" with our program participants. The correlation of your website with current Life Lab activities should prove a valuable learning tool. Thank you for your efforts to enhance science learning.
