Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/11/2002

Number: 1

What a thrill to see a Hummer and an Oriole pair that day. The Orioles were availing themselves of the flowers of a Shagbark Hickory tree; I even witnessed a male Bleu Jay go after them and a male Rosebrested Grosbeak left my feeder to scare him away! Will keep my eyes open for Monarchs but another 3 rainy days are predicted for here.......
