Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/06/2002

Number: 1

We have yet to sight our first Monarch. We have discovered Monarch eggs on milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) each of the last two days. We have brought them inside to raise. Last year was much the same, in that we spotted eggs long before we had a butterfly sighting. Mark Barton and students

Note: Reporting as adult, because presence of eggs confirms presence of adult, for migration map.
