The first Robins arrived in Fairbanks late last week (approx. May 9) and by Monday they were all over town. On Monday I saw several as far north as the town of Circle, on the Yukon River. Otherwise, things are finally starting to look a little like spring, after a series of late-winter storms in April. The first Dall sheep lambs were born in the Alaska Range this week (May 13) and we are expecting to see moose calves any day now. (A Northern Observation Post Report)
