We saw our first Monarch on 5/17 in Platte County at Lake Babcock. It was in fresh condition. The next sighting was on 5/19 in Douglas County & its condition could not be determined. On the 20th, 2 fresh Monarchs roosted in our honeysuckle bush in the sun at 5:35 p.m in Bellevue, Sarpy County.
We haven't seen any milkweed in the wild, but the Swamp Milkweed in our garden is 8-10 inches high.
