As we were waiting at a light on North Navarro in Victoria this afternoon, a monarch flew by at eye level crossing the intersection from southwest to northeast. It was on a dedicated flight but too far away to see any details. No idea what generation it might have been! This is the first monarch we have seen in almost a month. Seventh graders reported a few, very few, monarchs the last ten days north and west of Victoria.
