Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/27/2002

Number: 1

I saw my first monarch butterflies of the season today at high noon! Two monarchs--both females--were observed flying through the garden. Both were fresh-looking, and were depositing eggs on common milkweed which is now about 11" high. Temperature was around 70F with light south winds.
