I was so excited to see my first butterfly of the year. It has been a couple of great days here. The wind was about 10 mph and gusty and sunny in the high 70's. I did not see the butterfly land on anything and believe me I followed her as long as I could. I was hoping she would lay eggs on my milkweed. I have a wonderful butterfly garden and of course she didn't stop to even check it out. My milkweed is about two feet tall and is starting to show signs of forming buds. My kids are waiting for the first eggs of the season. I will let you know as soon as we have them.
