I have been collecting monarch caterpillars for over 20 years for my children and now my grandchildren. We keep them in jars and feed them until they're ready to pupate. Years of doing this have now produced dozens of milkweed plants in my yard- more and more every year. I just noticed the first little milkweed plants tonight, about 3 in. tall, one with a larva, I think, so I will be watching. A friend told me about this sight so I thought it would be interesting to participate. In light of Mexico's hard winter, I'm anxious to see if the amount of monarchs I usually get will be affected.
