Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/31/2002

Number: 1

Today at recess some students saw a monarch on our new milkweed patch. We have about 20 milkweed plants that are as tall as our third grade students. Our teacher came and saw the monarch too. She said that is the first monarch she has ever seen in the spring of the year. We all were very excited. We have not checked for eggs yet but we will on Monday.
