First monarch of the season, spotted by Liz Price, who's monitoring Piping Plover nesting and Elizabeth Howard who's helping. Very fresh female on milkweed. First milkweed spotted here was May 22nd, on the dunes. It's popping up all over now, just 9 days later, after a very cool spring.
