Driving south on the "thumb" of Wisconsin, about 15 miles north of Green Bay, I saw my first adult Monarch of the year, sailing across above the road, headed northwest. I saw another one, similarly oriented, about 10 miles south of Green Bay, then two others somewhat later in my trip toward Madison. Interestingly enough, I had not seen any in Madison itself yet. Could it be because that's farther inland, or is it just because I had been up North since May 26?
