Met my first Monarch of the season, Saturday near the pond. Our milkweed is up about at the 9" level. My area of open meadows & fields seems a little colder than some of the nearby towns. Also saw a Monarch on Sunday, June 2 while out walking in the evening. Both were bright, fresh new butterflies.
