After many months of not seeing a single monarch, I saw one in my garden this afternoon (June 8). It never settled on my numberous A.currassavica plants so I do not know if it was a male or a female. The plants are 2.5 - 3 feet tall, have 5+ stems per plant and leaves to the ground. I also have many seedlings growing from the seeds dropped earlier this spring. Since I have had no monarchs munching the plants, my plants have produced significant amounts of seed. I hope that this
means I will finally be able to enjoy monarchs in my garden!
