Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/09/2002

Number: 1

saw first monarch butterfly today at six mile lake. the lake was sprayed by most residents for caterpillars on monday via hellicpoter. .. so don't expect to see many larva or butterflies. the BTK used is toxic to the monarch larva as well as the tent and forest larva. doesn't make sense but there it is.....our government has a wonderful program for protecting threatened species and their habitat!!!!!!!!!!!!!
