Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 06/11/2002

Number: 1

Well, after seeing singles flying occasionally but infrequently, as soon as I got home from our summer program, unloaded freshly potted plants and began watering all the plants in pots and a sprinkle over the daylily beds. A raggeddy but good size female came flying around me and dancing from one A. curr. to another and I am not sure if she hit the A. curr. aurea 'gold'. She mostly deposited them on the blooms or the bloom stems. I will attempt to identify all the eggs by tomorrow.

She stayed around long enough for me to get the camera from the truck and get some nice shots of her. I will try to upload them soon.

I'll be looking for her again in the morning, as I feel sure I have more milkweed than most in my neighborhood.

Got my tag order in and ordered a condo! Yippee!
