One of my students brought a larva to school that was approximately one week old. She lives on a farm that is in the path of the migration and witnesses the monarchs resting in her trees each season. She told me approximately one month ago that she saw a monarch but I didn't report it because I wasn't sure she could accurately identify the species. The caterpillar she brought to me yesterday was definitely a monarch on a milkweed leaf.
