Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/12/2002

Number: 1

two eggs that i brought in on sunday have hatched and are feeding on the milkweed they are on. i have placed milkweed in with them from my garden which i washed to make sure there is no BTK on them. we have alot of rain hopefully that will wash away the BTK and some of the butterfly larvas will survive. the whole lake has been sprayed at least twice. even though we are against it there are signs of it on our propertydue to the high winds when the spraying was done.
six mile lake, muskoka
