Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/16/2002

Number: 1

I saw the first Monarch of the year for me, June 16, 2002, at about 3:30
pm. I saw the Monarch in a field out in the country near Ada, Michigan. I saw
only one and it is the only Monarch I have seen during 2002.

In fact, this year I haven't seen many Butterflies of any kind compared to
the numbers I have seen in the past. (Yellow swallowtails have been the most
numerous. I have seen about 6 or 8 of those over the last few weeks.)

I have a Butterfly garden in my yard but haven't seen any Butterflies yet
this year.
