Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 07/14/2002

Number: 1

The first monarch I have seen this season was feeding on the flower of peppermint plant and a daisy. I ran to get my video to record but he/she had left before I got back. Our patches of preserved milkweed is at the edge of our two acre property.
Next year I will plant a patch nearer to my house.
After reading John Switzer's article in the Columbus Dispatch I feared we would not see the Monarch again in Ohio. It is so thrilling to see some have survived.
