Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 08/11/2002

Number: 1

Finally say my first monarch sipping nectar from my Orange Profusion Zinnias. It's wings looked perfect and so must have been a young one. I have seen many other types of butterflies in my garden this Summer such as Tiger Swallowtail, Black Swallowtail, Spicebush Swallowtail, Giant Fritillary, and various Skippers and other small butterflies, but this was the very first monarch. Don't know if it was part of a migration or not, I was just happy to see it.
