I have only seen 4 monarch's this year, however I have 65 egg/caterpillars in various stages so the monarch's have been here. Yesterday I saw a monarch feeding on the hummingbird feeder he stayed a long time, long enough for me to get the camera, the hummingbird was not happy, I hope the pictures are good. It has been hot, humid and very dry in ohio and my grass is dead, I can only water the milkweed and flowers. The milkweed along the road is starting to dry out a little. Today it is overcast and wet. We need it to rain all weekend.
I wonder, since the days are so hot and dry could the monarch's be laying their eggs at night?
