This august looks very different in our
yard and sky. On 11 August at about 8 p.m. I noticed a
monarch migrating-just one-but perhaps i missed any
others. On 13 aug. we had a monarch nectaring very
early. Last week we also had a group of 3
monarchs nectaring. Maybe I'm not as lucky or
observant this summer, but the numbers are just not
like last year. Friends have reported final instar
monarch caterpillars on milkweeed.
