The students will establish and maintain a garden to attract butterflies. They will become familiar with the butterfly's life cycle and learn to identify the most common varieties found in our garden area. We hope that by including milkweed in our garden we will attract monarchs. If we do, we want to tag them and if eggs are laid, raise caterpillars to adults which will also be tagged. We look forward to sharing our data with Journey South, Journey North and with Monarch Watch.
