Signs of Fall

Date: 09/03/2002

Number: 1

Like clockwork, most of my orioles took off with the first strong cold front bringing in winds from the NW and clear cool nights. By the next morning (09/03) I had only two adult male orioles coming to my mealworm and grape jelly feeding station. Amazingly, I heard from another oriole watcher that hers left on the very same night. I can envision a massive take-off from our region. And now I wonder who has lots and lots of orioles in their backyard?
