With the help of parents and community volunteers my students and I began a school garden across the street from the school, using an abandoned property. We are getting it ready for fall planting. Other classes also will be using the garden. The inquiry component of this study is what fascinates me and goes very well with our investigations with the Manduca Project, an outreach from the University of AZ. May be we can find some correlations between the two projects as far as season changes are concerned.
