I have purposely planted many butterfly weed plants, buddleias, and milk weed. I was absolutely disraught at the lack of monarchs this past spring due to the big freeze in Mexico. I have seen several in my yard lately and I feel a great deal of hope resurfacing. I hope to teach the respect for all nature and especially the monarch through introducing my students to the journey north migration tradition.
